How to mark calls as JUNK or SPAM on your phone

Marking callers as “junk” or “spam” on your smartphone can help you avoid unwanted calls. Here’s how you can do it on an iPhone and an Android device:

On an iPhone (iOS):

  1. Open the “Phone” app on your iPhone.
  2. Go to your “Recents” or “Call History.”
  3. Find the call or number you want to mark as junk or spam.
  4. Tap the “i” (information) icon next to the number.
  5. Scroll down and tap “Block this Caller.”
  6. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Confirm by tapping “Block Contact.”

The contact or number is now blocked, and calls and messages from this contact will be sent to your voicemail.

On an Android device (may vary depending on the phone and Android version):

  1. Open the “Phone” or “Dialer” app on your Android phone.
  2. Go to your “Call History” or “Recent Calls.”
  3. Find the call or number you want to mark as spam.
  4. Tap and hold the contact or number until a menu appears.
  5. In the menu, select “Block/report as spam” or a similar option.
  6. Confirm the action if prompted.

The specific steps may vary slightly depending on the make and model of your Android device and the version of the Android operating system it’s running. In some cases, you may need to add the number to your phone’s block list or spam list through the settings.

By marking callers as “junk” or “spam,” you can help prevent unwanted calls from bothering you in the future.
